A unos cuantos días de que se terminaron los trabajos de construcción de la Torre Bicentenario ubicada en la entrada de la Colonia Independencia, en la fachada del edificio se colocó un letrero en donde se anuncia la renta de espacios en las instalaciones.
La inversión privada de este edificio fue de más de 100 millones de pesos y es una de las siete obras anunciadas por el municipio de Monterrey en donde se busca la regeneración de la zona centro de la ciudad.
Con la culminación de la construcción del edificio, se cierran los trabajos ubicados en las calles San Luis Potosí y la avenida Ignacio Morones Prieto que incluyen una plaza y la edificación del Macro Monumento Bicentenario inaugurado en el mes de septiembre del 2011 por autoridades municipales.
Además se encuentran avanzadas las obras de otras edificaciones como la Torre M, que estará ubicada en el cruce de la avenida Constitución y la avenida Juárez así como el complejo de departamentos La Capital ubicado en el Paseo Santa Lucía en donde se ubicarán áreas comerciales, espacios recreativos y culturales además de restaurantes.
Cabe señalar que las autoridades estatales anunciaron que la obra vial Multimodal Zaragoza tiene más de un 60 por ciento de avance y se tiene previsto que para finales de este año de termine la primera etapa.
