La Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León y el Instituto Nacional Electoral firmaron un convenio para fortalecer el desarrollo de una cultura democrática con valores cívicos y responsabilidad social en los estudiantes, docentes e investigadores, para coadyuvar en la construcción de una ciudadanía integral.
El documento fue firmado por el Rector de la UANL Jesús Ancer Rodríguez y EL Consejero Presidente del INE, Lorenzo Córdova Vianello en donde también rubricaron este acuerdo de colaboración, Sergio Bernal Rojas, Vocal Ejecutivo del INE en Nuevo León; Edmundo Jacobo Molina, Secretario Ejecutivo del INE; Manuel Gerardo Ayala Garza, Magistrado Presidente del Tribunal Electoral Estatal, y Gerardo Tamez González, Director de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Administración Pública.
“Queremos sumar esfuerzos para fortalecer el desarrollo de la cultura democrática con responsabilidad social entre la comunidad académica, estudiantil y diversos grupos minoritarios de la sociedad del estado de Nuevo León; este acuerdo se suma a las acciones que, para promover el desarrollo de la educación cívica, estamos impulsando con instituciones educativas y organizaciones de la sociedad civil”, expuso Córdova Vianello.
El Consejero Presidente del INE expuso ante maestros, directivos y estudiantes de la Máxima Casa de Estudios, que este organismo inició el acercamiento con las instituciones educativas cuando se firmó un convenio macro con la SEP para detonar una política del Estado mexicano en materia de educación cívica con alcance generacional.
“Este convenio con la UANL contribuirá a la labor de pedagogía que, desde el INE para que los académicos, estudiantes y sociedad en general, se informe y se involucre en el debate sobre las novedades y características del nuevo modelo electoral que estamos empezando a construir”, explicó.
El doctor Lorenzo Córdova Vianello dijo que este tipo de ejercicios son la mejor manera para que, con la participación de la ciudadanía, se construya un venturoso y necesario contexto de exigencia a las autoridades electorales del país, ante la desafiante y transformadora reforma electoral que se presentó este año.
La alianza que firmaron ambas instituciones, permitirá el desarrollo de trabajos de investigación, actividades en materia de educación cívico-política, difusión de la cultura política democrática, realización de cursos, diplomados, simposios, talleres, labores de Servicio Social, Prácticas Profesionales, y la publicación de eventos.
“En esta firma de convenio están involucrados los docentes e investigadores, porque el reto es construir ciudadanía y una de las acciones que ya se está ejecutando es el estudio Conciencia cívica y conciencia política de los universitario regiomontanos, que se están realizando en el Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales de la Universidad para medir la participación de la juventud en la vida democrática del país”, compartió el Rector Jesús Ancer.
El Ejecutivo universitario explicó que el estudio se desarrollará en 23 semanas y podría haber resultados en abril de 2015, para poder diseñar e implementar una política pública que invite a los jóvenes a involucrarse en los ejercicios que generan conciencia cívica.
“Un tema que nos interesa mucho es el programa de credencialización y la instrucción es que la Secretaría de Asuntos Universitarios trabaje un modelo que permita a los estudiantes que están en edad de poder votar en la próxima jornada electoral, que realice el trámite para obtener la credencial de elector para promover la acción del sufragio”, agregó el Rector de la UANL.
