Al menos en Nuevo León existen casi 30 mil “Ninis” de entre 15 a 24 años, de los cuales en mayor porcentaje están registrados con puntos rojos en vecindarios de los municipios de García, una parte de Santa Catarina, alrededor del Cerro del Topo Chico en Monterrey y en las faldas del Cerro de la Silla del municipio de Guadalupe, revela una investigación del Dr. Ernesto Aguayo Tellez, profesor-investigador de la Facultad de Economía de la UANL.
El Catedrático dijo que lo primero fue definir la condición de “Nini” y establecer que no es una situación que el joven busque.
“El joven es consecuencia de la falta de oportunidades, no es que el mismo joven quiera ser Nini, sino a la falta de oportunidades en su entorno, lo que lo orilla a los jóvenes a estar en esta condición”.
“Este porcentaje de “Ninis”, es un efecto contagioso en los vecindarios, es decir si vive cerca de un vecindario donde hay muchos Ninis, es más alta”
Entre las principales consecuencias para que un joven caiga en esta condición es de causas observables como la falta de acceso a la educación, las falta de oportunidades de empleo, la falta de acceso a la salud y las viviendas. .
Posteriormente arrojó resultados que permitió hacer opiniones de políticas públicas que ayuden a reducir la probabilidad de que un joven caiga en la condición de “Nini”, a través de que tenga acceso a la educación, mejores parques, al deporte, becas, entre otros.
Aguayo Tellez presentó la investigación en el Auditorio de la Facultad de Economía donde mencionó que su trabajo muestra las oportunidades en las que hay que trabajar, como el de la problemática de los “Ninis”, el problema de atención a la juventud. “Los “Ninis” tienen estas condiciones, los jóvenes son víctimas de estas condiciones y se les puede apoyar de estas formas, y con un buen trabajo focalizado, este puede tener un efecto positivo en reducir el porcentaje de “Ninis”.
El trabajo realizado es parte de una investigación que le ha llevado al menos 10 años, “El Entorno de Pobreza y la Condición de Inactividad en los Jóvenes del Área Metropolitana de Monterrey” por el mismo catedrático.
El Dr. Ernesto Aguayo Tellez, profesor-investigador de la Facultad de Economía de la UANL, recibió el Premio de Investigación UANL 2018, Área Ciencias Sociales por este estudio.
